Young Entrepreneurs in Romania in partnership with SMART Development Center and Young Entrepreneurs in South East Region launch the project “National Network of Events for Young Entrepreneurs” funded by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the national project contest, September 2009.

This project aims to meet the need for professional development of young entrepreneurs. The virtual platform proposed will provide young entrepreneurs the opportunity to gain experience by stimulating the exchange of: business ideas, entrepreneurial skills, know-how, local market and business. In this respect, Thursday, November 26th, 2009, at the Diplomatic Club in Bucharest were reunited many important events for Young Entrepreneurs in Romania: the official launch of Young Entrepreneurs in South Muntenia, a free debate on “An opportunity of a law of young entrepreneurs” and a Discussion Forum “Young Entrepreneurs – new strategies for business development” in which there were presented business opportunities and financing programs for young people.

The speakers were: Sorina Luminita PLACINTA from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Professor Ph.D Ovidiu NICOLESCU – President of the National Council of Private Small and Medium Enterprises in Romania, Florin JIANU – President of the Young Entrepreneurs in Romania, Dumitru NANCU from the Agency for Implementation of Projects and Programs for SMEs, Eduardo Royo COSANO – President of Young Entrepreneurs of the European Union, Abraham TSOUKALIDIS – General Secretary of the Young Leaders and Teofilos VASILEIADIS – Young Leaders Consultant.

Mr. Marius ANDRA, president of the Young Entrepreneurs in The South Muntenia Region said that he is honored that such an important institution for the SME’s development has offered it’s support in this process of offering visibility, easy access to information, representation to young people in that area.

In the second part of the event “business, art and culture” Mrs. Marinela CONSTANTIN, vice president of the Young Entrepreneurs in the South Muntenia Region offered Membership Certificates to the last youth enlisted, and the actor Marius BODOCHI presented the documentary Bucharest 99%, a film by Ovidiu GEORGESCU. On this occasion, Young Entrepreneurs from South Muntenia launched a challenge to young entrepreneurs: the best solutions for architectural and environmental image change of the metropolis will be made public and will be awarded.

The hosts were praised both for the initiative to set up this association and for the event. In the event, Florin JIANU, president of the Young Entrepreneurs in Romania, briefly presented the project and gave information about financing programs for young entrepreneurs.  

During the Forum, young leaders and young entrepreneurs shared their best practices related to the digital environment, presented the projects they have been involved in, and they asked questions and offered suggestions to common problems. The Forum was assessed by applying questionnaires to the participants. They were also given promotional materials and they were registered in the attendance list.
